The new Executive Secretary already knows the Federal Administrative Court (FAC) having previously worked at the Court for five and a half years. She first joined the Court in 2013 as a project manager in the General Secretariat before taking over as Head of Human Resources at the end of 2016. She also acted as Executive Secretary ad interim for several months. Before she joined the FAC, Sara Szabo was employed with a number of companies and diplomatic missions in Belgium, Hungary and Germany. It is expected that Sara Szabo will take up her new position as Executive Secretary of the FAC on 1 November 2023.

It oversees five departments: Finance and Services, Human Resources, IT & Transformation, Legal Services and Scientific Services. The General Secretariat also comprises central staff units: FCPC supervision, data protection, information security and public relations office, staff & assistants (including language services), communication, and the central registry and scanning centre.
